If you following news on the net, you might already knew about Windows7 from Microsoft. Microsoft has claim that the launching the Windows7 was on January, 2010. May be would be done on the end of 2009. Windows 7 or WIndows Seven was the next client version of Windows who originally codenamed “Blackcomb”. Microsoft has named this as “Windows Vienna” in early 2006. Windows Vista was Windows version 6.0, so the Microsoft Vienna presumably be version 7.0.
Microsoft has claimed that “Microsoft Vienna will make easier for users to find and use information. Local, network and Internet search functionality will converge. Intuitive user experiences will be further advanced. Automated application provisioning and cross-application data transparency will be integrated”. Microsoft Vienna (or WIndows 7) certainly ship only in 64-bit versions. This was in keeping with Microsoft’s x64 migration. As far as hardware requirements, Windows 7 will have similar or even slightly lower requirements than Vista.
Chris Flores from the Windows Vista Team Blog said,
“One of our design goals for Windows 7 is that it will run on the recommended hardware we specified for Windows Vista and that the applications and devices that work with Windows Vista will be compatible with Windows 7.”
And the “face” of Windows 7, here’s the screenshots :
